Associate Professor Shibasaki will provide an overview of his research laboratory’s Global Logistics Network Modelling and its applications in Asia Pacific, including potential cases in the Philippines, and as affected by the development, adoption and implementation of the Physical Internet.

His lab’s research missions are to:
1.) Understand and assess the status of international logistics in each country/region from a global perspective;
2.) Develop comprehensive models to describe them;
3.) then apply the developed models for the simulations and evaluations on the impact of various drivers such as technological innovation, international cooperative policies and infrastructure investment in each country/region, in order to support decision-making in these policies and projects.
